I CANNOT contain the love I have for The Hunger Games. I'm almost done with the book. I just got back to the apartment and I want to finish it off right now! I loved the movie, obviously from previous posts. I also love the book. There is so much detail into how Katniss deals with the games and her emotions towards Peeta and Gale. AND there is soo much more "romance" between Peeta and Katniss in the book than they portray in the movie. I wish they would have developed their relationship more in the cave, and I wish they would have developed Rue's character a little more too! Well I still love the movie. About the books, I love the first one so far, and I know I'll love the second one (I'm getting if from my sister this weekend), but people say that the third is the worst. I will stick through it and finish the trilogy.

ReplyDeleteI agree with you about the cave scenes, but it is what I expected. The book was written in first person and dealt with internal conflict, which is hard to transition to movie format. It also missed describing what happened with her deaf ear and struggle with dehydration. And personally, I thought the third book was amazing. It might have lacked some of the characteristics of of the first two, but I thought it was just as great. The last book had more non-stop action than the previous two.
