Oh. My. Gosh. So I had a post about New Girl early this semester. I am in love the show and in love with the character Schmidt. Well I follow New Girl on Twitter and found that they have a Pinterest! AND one of their pin boards has "Schmidt-isms." This cracks me up! I will so be looking up to see if some of my other favorite shows have Pinterest accounts.

This is giving me inspiration to create a "Favorite T.V. Moments" board! I'm trying to get more creative with my boards. My mom has like a million and I have...like 6? haha Well, here is to improving my Pinterest!

I was listening to the radio this evening and I heard that Nicki Minaj rejoined  Twitter. I was thinking to myself, "What did she do now?!" Well folks, she just deleted her account on April 15th and just came back recently. As you can see celebrities get tired by being in the public eye even when it comes to social media. And of course there had to be some bad reason she left, but she is denying it and good for her because sometimes you just have to follow your gut and get out of a situation. The link to the article is connected to the picture if you didn't know haha
This got me to thinking that sometimes I wish I could just delete all my accounts and start fresh. Especially when it comes to my Facebook. I want to get rid of some of my posts, some things that remind me and are evidence of past relationships, and just a lot of photos in general. MEH...oh well, I'll just have to go through my pictures soon. Working world here I come!

I guess I've been really under a rock lately because I JUST found out that Brangelina are getting married! Why has no one been talking to me about this? I'm very excited that they are finally making it official. I'm a very traditional person and marriage and is what I believe in, so for crying out loud they have a million kids so they should have been married by now. I was watching E! and they were talking about which designer she is going to use for her dress and it's a big deal I guess? Since people have been waiting around for them to get engaged a lot of the designers want to be the ONE that gets to design "the" dress. So I hear she will most likely choose Versace. No one knows yet though! So maybe I'll keep ya'll posted if I remember haha

So this is the time when I haven't been paying attention to much else besides the shows that I watch online. These consist of Glee, New Girl, Raising Hope, The Big Bang Theory, and Modern Family. Glee just had their first episode in a while and it was pretty decent. Nothing extreme happened, but it was a good episode. I have been missing out on the celebrity gossip front, though. This is the time where I would like to hear from you all. I'm not really sure what's the big commotion. I think from being super busy with school, moving into my new apartment and Easter being last weekend I really haven't been around the T.V. or reading any news. So update me if you have some gossip! Or a movie suggestion!

I CANNOT contain the love I have for The Hunger Games. I'm almost done with the book. I just got back to the apartment and I want to finish it off right now! I loved the movie, obviously from previous posts. I also love the book. There is so much detail into how Katniss deals with the games and her emotions towards Peeta and Gale. AND there is soo much more "romance" between Peeta and Katniss in the book than they portray in the movie. I wish they would have developed their relationship more in the cave, and I wish they would have developed Rue's character a little more too! Well I still love the movie. About the books, I love the first one so far, and I know I'll love the second one (I'm getting if from my sister this weekend), but people say that the third is the worst. I will stick through it and finish the trilogy.

On a funny note....

Just a little review on The Hunger Games I think is in order! I went to see this movie on Saturday at the IMAX and it was a great choice. Definitely worth the money. I absolutely loved the movie! The acting was great, the costumes were great, the storyline was great. I even cried during an emotional scene. It was very well done. People who have read the books told me they thought it stay pretty true to the books. I am currently now reading the first one and trying to finish it before the weekend so I can see it after reading the book. I'm a third of the way through and it's very hard to put down. I am noticing slight differences, but I mean, I understand everything can't be included or stay the same. The book is a very easy read, and explains a lot more of what's going on than in the movie. I would have to say if you don't have people there that have read the book to explain some things in the movie, which I did, then you might be a bit confused. Overall, I caught on pretty easily. 2 thumbs up!

I was asking myself this week, what is the big hullabaloo that everyone is talking about? Well folks, it's The Hunger Games. At first when previews were coming out I really wasn't that interested. Then, my sister told me they were based off a book series and that she loved them. Well, my sister has a good taste in books so I took her word for it. Now obviously everyone is reading the books before they see the movie, which comes out at midnight tonight. Just to let you all know I plan on seeing it Saturday, at the Rave, hopefully in IMAX (if I can get my friends to pay the extra money). I figure it's going to be a well filmed good movie so why not? Movie going is by far one of my favorite things to do and Morris, has....well....a crappy movie theater to put it bluntly. So when I came to Peoria and went to the Rave for the first time I thought it was the biggest theater and I was such a little kid about it. Anyways, the main actress in the film, Jennifer Lawrence, who plays Kat, looked so familiar to me and then it clicked she was in X-Men: First Class. I thought she was pretty good at playing Mystique so I think she should be excellent in The Hunger Games. Go see it!

This summer, after graduation, I will be all settled in at my new apartment at Grand Prairie. With my new "adult" apartment we are getting actual cable. I've lived in Bradley's student apartment for 2 years so we just get cable and don't choose a service. BUUTTT this summer I will be having a cable package that allows me to have HBO for 3 months. That's perfect! I can actually watch True Blood when it actually airs this summer!

I'm so excited I could just...idk...but I'm so excited. The last season was NOT my favorite (it involved witches). Like they don't have enough weird things going on. If you didn't know the show is based on a book series, which I have not read and don't plan on it. Anyways the character I would like to say that is my favorite and my sister's is Eric Northman. That's all I'm saying. Watch it.

Okay...I just HAVE to talk about a serious matter. Are you ready? I'm sure you've heard...SNOOKIE IS PREGNANT. I mean it was only a matter of time. If you aren't familiar with Jersey Shore I won't bother you with what's going on specifically because it's a waste of my life when I watch the show. I  am worried for this child's life. Her bf, Jionni, is with her for some darn reason. When I watch the show he is just always so embarrassed by her so I really don't know why you would date someone as extreme as she is if you can't handle someone being that like that regularly. I just hope that when the baby is here she has a maternal epiphany and will become a better, less partying person. I would love to hear everyone's opinion on the matter.

I don't know about you, but I'm a huge New Girl fan. I love the show. Zoey Deschanel is quirky, awkward, and hilarious. I noticed with this show that people either love it or hate it. I also enjoy the rest of the cast. The actor who plays Schmidt cracks me up as too. People have been quoting, referencing the show (Douchebag Jar anyone?) so much I know this show will be around for a few more seasons. I was talking about the show with my sister and a few friends recently and someone had mentioned they thought the "towel" scene was hilarious.
I have to agree on that one.

Since this is award show season it's only fitting that I post about another one...The GRAMMYs! I had so much fun tweeting along during the show. I got so many more perspectives on what was going on as I was following #GRAMMYs live. I have never tweeted so much in one day. I am a huge music fan and the fact that they had a EDM (Electronic Dance Music) somewhat of a focus, was great. I loved the deadmau5 performance, but I saw so many tweets about people not understanding the whole dubstep/EDM thing. I guess I've been so involved in this type of music for the past year I forget that other people are still getting introduced to it. I'm not bragging like "Oh gosh, you all haven't heard this before?" No, no, no...it's more that not only have I been listening to it, but so many of my friends and my peers around me. Even my roommates that don't care for EDM that much know who deadmau5 is. Also, I'm a pretty big Skrillex fan and was glad to hear that he won some awards too. Speaking of which, I just found out that Sonny Moore (Skrillex) and Ellie Goulding (a great EDM/pop singer) are dating! I love Ellie so when I found out about this today I was super excited. A weird couple when you look at them? Maybe? But I'm super happy for them and I hope it is true and that it lasts! They also just collaborated recently on a song together. It's a long song and it's quite a bit longer before you get to hear Ellie in the song, but you can speed forward through it to hear her.

The Superbowl was this Sunday and the main reason I would really watch it would be to watch the commercials, halftime, and just to know who won. This year I wasn't really feeling it that much and missed a lot of the commercials and missed halftime. Luckily, I can look all of the commercials online. I thought the companies played it somewhat safe this year, but I did enjoy a lot of them. There is nothing wrong with playing it safe, but I just think viewers were expecting more surprising, exciting ads. As for the halftime show I knew it was Madonna and was not really interested in seeing her performance. I got a glance of the performance with Nicki Minaj and M.I.A. and of course there had to be some sort of commotion. M.I.A. flipped off the crowd, camera, and the world. I didn't really care because of how desensitized I am as a result from other television shows and movies, but it definitely was not appropriate. I was reading all about the stunt and this is what I found out. Performers usually have two payments, one before performance, and one after performance. Because of the new policies that have been put into place because of other stunts *cough* Janet Jackson *cough* M.I.A. will most likely having to pay a fine or a reduced pay check because of her darn finger.

After I saw what the video clip of what happened I then found another article on how M.I.A. has had some pretty controversial music videos and songs. I ended up finding "Born Free" on YouTube. It has been banned from MTV and other stations because of the violence and issues it brings up. I decided I just HAD to watch this video, which you have to be 18 or older to watch. It was meant to be taken as a stance against genocide and was a very graphic, violent video. I liked the song though. If you can't handle gore or violence I suggest you move on and never watch it. It looks like she is targeting America, but I think the overall message was not against America. Well, whatever the video was about I could have gone without seeing someone being blown up to bits. Always remember, curiosity killed the cat haha.

The SAG awards were this past Sunday! I'm usually upset about at least one of the winners, but I just was so happy for everyone. I mean come on! Betty White won Outstanding Performance By A Female Actor In A Comedy Series so all is right in the world. I was so happy for the cast of The Help. I absolutely loved that movie. I was emotional the whole time. I love Emma Stone and Viola Davis definitely did an outstanding performance.
Now, what comes along with all the the award shows? Fashion police! I really enjoyed a lot of their dresses, but some were way out there, too frumpy, or not flattering. I didn't really agree with some of there comments as always, but I'm sure the show is scripted a little too. Who knows!?

On the celebrity front I've been holding off somewhat. I have been trying to get organized for the semester and my reward for getting everything organized was to read my US weekly. Unfortunately, I have not been able to read my US yet. Fortunately, I have been watching some E!. The big upset for me this week was one of my favorite celebrity couples that I thought would actually last are Heidi and Seal. Apparently he has some temper issues, but like some people are saying, eight years of marriage in Hollywood is a pretty long marriage sadly. eonlineheidiandseal Side Note: I love listening to Seal talk with his accent.

On the movie front I just saw "The Descendants" on Saturday and I loved it. The previews do not give the movie justice. It was emotional and entertaining, which I love together. It's always nice to have a little cry in the theater now and then. George Clooney is wonderful and still looks great in his goofy Hawaiian shirts that sooo many men are wearing in this film. Is this how local, white, Hawaiian men really dress? Well, anyways it was a great movie! Go see it!

As of TV shows, I'm kind of behind/caught up. Since I was in London for J-term I had to catch up on my favorites like Big Bang Theory, New Girl, and Raising Hope. As of right now they are all keeping me entertained. Glee isn't impressing me that much this season, but there are some good ones here and there. Big Bang Theory is getting more interesting with Leonard and Penny starting a relationship again, possibly? If you haven't watched it just join in anytime, it's a hoot!

First blog post = success :)
